Zakk Wylde, ikona gitary, lider BLS, nadworny gitarzysta Osbournea od wielu lat. Nigdy nie ukrywał fascynacji macierzystym zespołem swojego "pracodawcy". Z miłości do Black Sabbath właśnie powstał projekt "Zakk Sabbath". Obok Zakka na scenie można zobaczyć i usłyszeć basistę Roba Blasko (ex. Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie) i legendarnego perkusistę Joeya Castillo (Danzig, ex. Queens of the Stone Age). Po doskonale przyjętej trasie oraz epce koncertowej przyszedł czas na coś "większego". Z okazji 50 lecia debiutu Sabbath Zakk, Joey oraz Robert postanowili nagrać ten album raz jeszcze! Wydawnictwo zostało nazwane "Vertigo" (dlaczego taki tytuł, to raczej nie trzeba wyjaśniać). Sesja nagraniowa zrealizowana tak jak zrobił to zespół Black Sabbath. Nie było cięcia, wszystko na żywo,  na setkę. W trakcie użyto również sprzętu analogowego, który zgrywał wszystko bezpośrednio na dwucalową taśmę. Przepustką do XXi wieku była ekipa filmowa, która filmowała cały "koncert". Pozycja obowiązkowa dla każdego fana talentu Zakka oraz Black Sabbath!
